Wonderful day on Santa's train to see the man himself. Beautifully decorated, magical grotto and Santa looked the REAL deal. Fabulous age appropriate gifts for the children. Sherry and mince pies for the adults on the journey back. Lovely cafe while you wait for the train to arrive. We had an amazing time.

First time visiting and it was a very spontaneous visit. Caught the last run of the day with my son. Nice little run and there's plenty to do with Big Pit, play area at the Whistle inn, for the kids and well pub for the bigger kid. It was a nice change too as a lot of railways have a linear run, just down to the end and back again. Where as Blaenavon travels up and down the line and switching to a different line to go up to Big Pit. Just a bit refreshing rather than heading off in one direction and back again. The shop was fairly priced and even though this was a quick visit we shall be back again.
Poorly organised. Short trip. Done it. Don't need to do it again. Don't see what all the fuss is about. However 10 to ride all day is excellent value.
