Well engineered buildings on a rolling, sympathetic landscape, coupled with outstanding care facilities for mental health sufferers.

very nice for all the staff. It seems staff comfort and wellbeing is the priority her, not the patients

Unfortunately I can't leave zero stars! Avoid like the plague!! If you have mental health issues get a competent doctor to give you a physical examination to find the underlying real causes of your condition. From experience this can be things such as undiagnosed diabetes or allergies but it can be many other things. There are alternatives to being trapped in the sordid psychiatric system with drugs and electric shock treatment. The psychiatric profession is geared towards \managing\ mental health conditions rather than curing them, this is because there is no money in curing people. If you have had abuse at this place or at any mental health facility report it to CCHR UK also go to their website for more information.

To revise my original review, St Ann's is paradise compared with many other mental hospitals. Currently placed in a private ehab\ in Woking, but it's awful - utterly incompetent staff, and far more restrictions than in St Ann's even though it's just supposed to be rehab. The culture in St Ann's has grown to one of kindness and proper deescalation. Many beautiful people. Here people get threatedv with restraint and \forced treatment\ for the slightest thing and the staff are prejudiced completely. St Ann's may not yet be perfect but it's heading that way people just need to appreciate what's there and take a walk in the beautiful grounds or look at the sea a while - a therapy in itself that should be promoted more. It's far from being \the worst place on earth\ and I'm hoping to return.

No communication and a dr that deems someone medically and mentally fit for discharge after talking to them for 30 mins!!!! Ridiculous. Completely counterproductive as the patient was re admitted a few days later. I really question the capability of the staff they have at this place, so far to say I’m unimpressed would be an understatement.
