Loved this museum very much. It is interactive and you will have a lot of fun. Only museum that i've been to that encourages you to touch the display and to get in the vehicles. The centre features an impressive array of original WW2 artifacts, weapons and wartime vehicles. Awesome place to spend the day.

First museum that I have ever been to in the UK that is interactive or at least let me experience what it was like. I climbed onto the tank, jeep, truck and motorcycle. I was also able to shoot with the rifles and oh my, they were heavy (most of them, at least!). Drop by and see for yourself! I had fun!

This is a great little museum. The unique aspect is you are encouraged to touch the displays, sit in the vehicles and pick up the guns and clothing on display. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and the young man on the Sherman tank was fantastic. I loved that the owner was there and got involved allowing us to use the Bofors gun, it was great fun.

Fascinating local insight to D day and how the local community supported the preparations for the operation. Wonderful collection of hands-on exhibits. A huge array of written insights if only you have the time to read them. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff and volunteers on hand to help and advise you - do feel confident enough to ask them! Covid preparation and cleaning was well drilled and commendable.

Excellent little museum. Packed with items from both sides of d-day. Best of all its hands on so you can get in and touch the items on display and really get a feel of the history of d-day experience.

This was outstanding. Very friendly and enthusiastic people, and we could all touch and try out the exhibits. All museums should take this attitude. The kids (ages 13, 11 and 8) totally loved it. What we learnt at the D-Day Museum made the whole of Portland make sense to us. Thoroughly worth the time and money.
