I love the fact that Aspex Gallery feature work by emerging artists. The cafe is excellent and worth a visit for lunch. Great waterside location close to the Gun Wharf shopping area. Best accessed on foot or bicycle.

An interesting gallery which showcases work by emerging artists; this sometimes works for me personally, and sometimes it doesn't. But that's art for you. They also run art and craft workshops and have an excellent cafe serving drinks and light meals, and a shop selling local art, greeting cards, posters and the like. It's easy to get to, it's free to get in and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Always worth a visit, even if you can't always wrap your head around the concepts presented. Love the shop too!
