The place itself is fantastic and so old but I don't recommend the ghost tours. The one I did was so obviously faked and I was gutted because I was really hoping to find evidence of the paranormal!

Lovely place to visit. Right on the coastline with a burger van. Lovely view

Camping via a local club or section this is a great venue with plenty to do inside or outside of the fort.

A lot of areas blocked off now and could do with some money spent on repairs but a good historical site

Amazing place, full of character and history, take a walk around its rooms, go into the belly of the building leave day light behind as you explore the tunnels as they gradually take you deeper under the ground into the hill the Fort is built on. Take a spine chilling experience with Paraspirts on one of their regularly held ghost hunts, be there and experience some unexplainable moments from the tapping, to voices, footsteps to banging doors or loud knocking from invisible hands you go a non believer and leave believing there is something more, are these noises from someone trying to communicate find out for yourself, spend the whole night camping within the Fort with a ghost hunt, followed by stories and pizza around a fire on the forts parade ground will you be sleeping alone in your tent???. If you don't give it a go your missing out on a fun, exciting, night of surprises, a night leaving you thinking about it for days it drags you back again and again each time the nights experience is different.
