We found Alastair at ProSafe on Check a Trade when we needed a gas fire and boiler service. Right from the start, we found him to be exceptionally professional, friendly and obviously completely competent. He identified that the gas fire flue was unsafe and required decommissioning. He clearly and concisely explained this needed to be done to protect our safety, in a way that was easy to understand and again left no doubt to his technical competence. He undertook some maintenance on our boiler, including fixing an issue we'd had with the pressure for 5-years. He offered to fix our radiator valve and carried out a thorough check of the property including carbon monoxide suggestions and future improvements. Additionally, he discovered that the cupboard built around the boiler was poorly fitted and about to collapse. At no extra cost he added two brackets to the boiler cupboard significantly strengthening it and leaving it in better condition than it was before he arrived! He was exceptionally careful not to bring dirt in to the house (carrying a vacuum cleaner with him and wearing shoe coverings) or damage any furniture or fittings. We had no tidying up to do after he left. We can't praise Alastair enough for his high quality of workmanship and professional, friendly service. All completed efficiently with good value for money. We've experienced some unscrupulous tradespeople in the past, and Alastair stands out as a beacon of honesty and integrity. We will absolutely recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again in the future. Great job.

Just had Alastair to service my boiler and can highly recommend him. He turned up at the agreed time, keeping in touch by text to let me know he was in his way. He kept to the agreed price even though he needed to do an extra procedure that took extra time. He was very knowledgeable and explained things about my boiler and heating system in a way that was easy to understand. He is the only workman I have ever known to use shoe covers to protect your carpets! The service revealed that I need my system flushing out and Alastair explained how this can extend the life of the boiler, save money on bills and avoid other more expensive costs down the line. All this was explained in a way that was easy to grasp and without any pressure. I feel confident having Alastair look after my boiler and I will definitely be using him again to get the system flush done and for any future jobs that need doing. I hadn’t had my boiler serviced in 3 years due to various issues with other tradesmen and not knowing who I could trust to do a good job, but I will now be keeping Alastair’s number in my phone and recommending him to anyone who has any heating or boiler issues. Alastair is the real deal!

Following my initial contact by phone, Alistair contacted me to ensure he would arrive with the necessary parts to repair my broken valve. When he arrived fault quickly identified and new valve installed. He checked my complete heating system, and explained everything as he was doing it. Very tidy, taking care to protect my carpets from further damage. First class service, will be using again when required.
