I just bought a used yacht through RBS Marine. I am delighted with their excellent service. I was a first time boat buyer, and Dana Stevens made the process reassuringly straight-forward. She went to great trouble to anticipate any queries and answered my questions with impressive thoroughness. I dealt with some other brokers, including a well-known name, as I searched for the right boat for me, and Dana stood out as being by far the most professional, with great attention to detail and genuine interest in doing her best for the seller, and helping me as the buyer. Questions about legal/paperwork matters were answered in great detail in prompt emails, and she was always on hand to follow things up. The sea trial was conducted in accordance with industry standards, adhering to correct health and safety protocols. On the day of the handover Dana made an effort to make the day special, made sure everything was presented properly, and went out of her way to be helpful. If I ever need to sell a boat, I know where to go. Highly recommended.

Both Dana and Ben, both of whom I had dealings with while purchasing a used boat were very helpful and approachable. I live some distance away so there was a lot of going back and forth with questions before I decided to take the 3hr drive to view and certainly nothing was too much problem for them. Following purchase, the after sale experience wasn’t as good as I had hoped. I had the boat fully surveyed but due to the seller running out of fuel during the period after the sea but before I picked it up, one of the engines had to be bled which the seller did and subsequently caused leaks. I referred to the sale and purchase agreement which I signed through RBS and it’s clear the responsibility was on the seller to rectify but to cut a very long story short RBS washed their hands of me. Essentially I was left with a boat not in the condition reported in the survey.
