This review doesn't directly affect this shop, however it relates to someone called Davey who appears to work out of there. I bought a Norton privately from this chap, we had a long phone conversation about the bike and he explained how he 'rebuilds bikes' and knows a lot about Nortons. I took him on his word as he seemed genuine and bought the bike, arranging to have it collected by a relative (a 14-hour round drive). On collection the bike wouldnt start, to which he started suggesting it wasn't a big issue and 'shouldn't buy the bike if I don't know anything about them'. This is hardly the point as it was advertised as good to go. Then started phrases like 'are you saying you don't trust me?'. In the end I took a chance and continued with the purchase and got it to a technician friend for a once over. It turns out a lot of the critical components to this bike were loose, wheel spindles, bearings, the clutch was not assembled correctly and all wiring loom was covered in wiring tape with wires twisted together. In order to get this bike safe I need to outlay a lot more money on it. As I said, this review is not about the service directly encountered about this shop. But be aware if you see bikes advertised from this person. They are dangerously unsafe and not fit to ride.
