Safely reopened to allow 45 min slot of swimming - go wearing costume under clothes as only allowed in 5 mins before swim time. Masks worn until in changing cubicle and again on departing. Staff helpful.

Went for a relaxing swim. After 10 minutes really bad pop music started to play (I had earplugs in and could still hear it) so asked for it to be switched off. There were only 3 other people on the pool. Very pleasant lifeguard put in the request but music stayed on. So I went to reception and asked if they could switch off the music and was told it had been requested by other people - so that was that. I do not believe this woman. She had a really bad attitude. As a paying customer asking for something you would think the response would be - yes of course you are here for a relaxing swim and we are happy to switch off the music. Not a bit of it. I think she wanted the music on herself and to hell with the paying customers. Will not go to this pool again. There are other pools nearby with pleasant staff.

The Gas Man

I am old enough to remember when this was the engine sheds and coal yards when the railway station was still in operation. It is a great place to escape the summer heat I'm definitely somewhere to enjoy yourself in a safe environment. I have found parking sometimes to be a little difficult but with a bit of patience you will find somewhere.
