Went to enquire about membership and was excited to join what seemed like a nice and well maintained tennis club. However i found the lady who showed me round to be rude and dismissive thus putting me off being a member there at all. I will be joining somewhere else as a result.

Rickmansworth is a great club with an excellent junior programme. It has 10 or 11 courts and good clubhouse. Steve and Cefyn are first class, enthusiastic and friendly coaches.

Despite the sign at the front saying 'new members welcome' I have never felt more unwelcome in my entire life. The head coach was rude and unhelpful, he and his colleague had to confer about how much they were going to charge me and then continued to say you can't just turn up and play. \These facilities don't pay for themselves\ were his exact words, after charging me 8.00 to play for an hour! I am now going to become a member elsewhere and would recommend anyone else thinking about joining to do the same.
