Open to the public, parking in nearby village hall car park is a 2 minute walk away. Lovely walk by the river to the left

OK, not much to see but still interesting enough for a quick stop off. I would make a special visit to go see it.

Lovely, pretty piece of history. Access is down a pleasant, grassy lane. Nice little walk. Not a lot to see but it is free, always a bonus. And the colours in the masonry are amazing. Huge fire place and chimney and very thick walls. Nice views from windows but can't see much from top as is a dead end with no view. Popped into church next door too. Got lovely stained glass. Little link up path down the church takes you over to the other side to a village farm n kids place, which allegedly serves tea and cake. When it's open. Which it wasn't. So a diversion to one of my fave cafes in Knaresborough was in order. Did nip into the Bull but it was 2.50 & was told they stop serving at 3, and didn't want my cuppa rushed n needed caaaake after the tower steps. Ok, so there's not many as it's not high but one always needs caaaake heh heh heh

Beautiful Tower and worth climbing for the river views.

Small gatehouse next to St Nicholas' Church and the River Ure. Car parking limited but it's down a quiet road.
