South West Lakes Trust was established as a charity in April 2000, to manage, provide and promote public access, recreation, and conservation on and around inland waters in the South West of England, many of which provide unrivalled access to water sports, angling, walking and cycling. More environmentally sensitive sites are managed by the Countryside team i.e. Sites of Special Scientific Interest, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or Local Nature Reserves.
