The fort may be a little out of the way but it is well worth a visit. A dedicated group of volunteers are steadily restoring the structures and happily share their knowledge with you. Plenty to see with the site covering the 1800's up till the second world war.
Had a ghost hunt event booked with Ghost Hunt Events. Kirsty and Paul were very polite and knew a lot about the place. Loved hearing the history and the place was stunning. Definitely would go back - hopefully without a goulish agenda!!
Amazing place, great to see all the work done to put it back to how it was. Definate must see fort.
Very interesting and informative. Host excellent in explaining.
Turned up on a whim and was greeted in a very friendly manner. Was invited to join in halfway through a guided tour which was excellent. There's plenty of restoration work going on here undertaken by good people. I was impressed by the passionate approach of those involved, well done. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic afternoon out, plenty of knowledge from the tour guide. Would recommend a visit
