Lovely and remote old cottage in a beautiful location. I loved my 3 night stay. I think the track to the cottage could do with some improvement as underside of vehicle hit rocks whilst driving over uneven tracks (no serious damage done). Steep drop to Tarn Hows was rather nerve-wracking. Overall impressed.

A solitary cottage on wuthering hill of 751 ft a.s.l. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape and neighbourhood Tarn Hows Lake. Away from any civilization. Possible for rent but with harsh conditions inside (no TV, no microwave, heating only one wood-burning stove and without possibility BBQ). It is a pity that it is so. For the first glimpse looks cosy. I made Rose Castle Cottage photo in July 2020.
