British Gas deceived me. I lived alone in a studio flat for 3 months and they demand an electricity bill of 280 pounds. When I checked it, it turned out that they deceived me with the initial reading of the meter. They gave the initial counter reading 06604. It was actually 07532

Initially rang at 2:15 approx on the 8/10/14 After being on hold for over 10 minutes and passed around, I am still waiting. OK so I called the wrong number originally but this is a multinational company with hopefully an idea of where to place people to sort out a problem. I won't elaborate on the \problem\ but to say some of us need understanding in stressful circumstances and to be dragged through hoops is not my idea of good customer circumstances. Same call 23 minutes later- still waiting Now on hold with right department for over 5 minutes. Am I being charged for this call? Was eventually dealt with by someone who knew nothing of my circumstances and wasn't aware that a letter had been sent or had not been received by them. I was given an email address to send the information and will now do that and lets see what proceeds.

British Gas Homecare service is the worst I've ever come across had to phone them out on two separate occasions and both times they have not turned up when they say they will so I've had to ring and ring and ring before an engineer has shown up the first time I was without heating and hot water for 5 days whilst they where messing about and this second time is now and I've already had to phone 3 times and I'm now on my 3 engineer appointment but I'm not holding my breath!!!!!! 2 year old child in the house -1 at nights disgusting service let's see if they manage to turn up this time
