I applied for a second charge mortgage for a six figure sum to fund the build of our second home. Norton were the brokers. Optimum finance provided the loan. I dealt with a lady called Anita. It took about a month from start to finish. The loan was agreed so obviously I am very happy. Anita was superb. Very professional and polite and helpful. There were times during the process I had my doubts the loan would progress because so much information was being asked from me and I was suspicious they were looking for something wrong with my affairs. I am one of those very squeaky clean individuals so I knew there were no skeletons. I can understand the need for them to do their due diligence as they need to be sure of affordability and they need to be sure I am a responsible trustworthy individual. Especially in the current economic climate. But I can honestly say if your reading this and looking to take out any loans with Norton you have to be a rock solid individual financially with a solid safe regular income and have a good reason for borrowing and have all your paperwork in place. Don't get offended if your declined. I could have gone through my bank but I have found brokers to be more helpful in the past so i came accross Norton through a Google Search. I would highly recommend.
