Rougham Aerodrome Memorial is next to the Control Tower Museum and a short walk to Rougham Aerodrome. This is the 94th Bomb Group (H) USAAF Memorial and this site is part of the original wartime aerodrome Rougham, also known as RAF Bury St Edmunds built in 1941. The original (Heavy Bomber) aerodrome; A20 Havocs; B26 Marauders & Flying Fortresses were the common aircraft based here, in addition to the aircraft 2,500 personell were based at Rougham. 329 missions were flown from rougham, the last mission to fly out of Rougham was on the 21st April 1945. My personal score for Rougham Aerodrome Memorial is 10/10 & I also award this memorial my Gold Star for Excellence!
