Mark has completed some precision brickwork for a bespoke greenhouse base and laid the stone slabs around the area. He is a very nice person to work with and is very professional and reliable. His work is of a very high standard - and was even complimented by the other trades involved in the project. We are planning another project soon and will be asking Mark back to do it for us.

Mark did an excellent job removing render and replacing bricks to the front of my Victorian house in a traditional style using lime mortar. I am very pleased with the final result.

Mark worked for us over a good part of last year, helping us renovate a very old Victorian terraced house in Cambridge. Mark did a variety of jobs for us in this project, including re-pointing walls, repairing chimneys, installing structural beams, and rebuilding a shed that was in especially poor condition. We wanted some of the brick walls and chimney breasts to be visible as part of the decoration and these came out beautifully. Mark was very helpful in giving us advice, cheerful, and was very methodical. The quality of his work is high in our opinion and there was never any issue with his work that later impeded other tradespeople that worked after him. Mark worked with different materials: for the brickwork he used mostly lime, but he was did some concrete footings for us and understood the advantages/issues of different materials.

Mark repaired our front wall during January 2018, after it had been completely demolished by a drunk driver. Mark carried out the work quickly, and to the very highest standard. We now have the wall back as good as new. We could not be more pleased. It should be said that Mark is a very tidy worker and kept the work site clean and very well organised. He is absolutely trustworthy and we felt very happy to leave him with the property unsupervised. To summarise, we would recommend Mark's services to anyone, without hesitation. John and Lynn Travis

We had a flint wall on the cusp of collapsing, Mark came along and rescued it from an uncertain fate! Kept the site tidy, just got on and worked, he even put up with our dogs harassing him for a bite of his sandwich. Recommended tradesman

We live in a grade two Listed property in a Conservation Area. A large tree blew down on 23 February and damaged our front brick and flint wall. Mark obtained the planning permission for us using the jargon that only an experienced heritage bricklayer would know. Shortly afterwards he commenced work demolishing virtually the entire wall width to our frontage, cleaning up all the old bricks and flint stones that had to be reutilised. This project has taken several weeks (an insurance job - his quotation was accepted). Delighted with the finished result. Mark is very skilled in working with lime mortar (stipulated by the Council). Very organised in how he tackled our job. Kept the site secure and clean daily and very tidy upon completion. Really got stuck in and never seemed to take a break. Highly recommended - he will shortly be coming back to do a small non-insurance job for me.
