It's just over a mile to meander through this peaceful site. Plenty of very clear water and birdsong.

We visited the reserve on one of the few sunny days in a miserable November, so it was never going to look at its best. But even so it was a really great place to walk around, with well maintained pathways, and a beautiful, peaceful natural environment. There were several people working at keeping it up to scratch, and they were chatty and informative. We'll definitely go back perhaps in the spring or summer so we can see nature at its best.

Gorgeous place to go for a lovely stroll. 2 for parking, goes towards the RSPB and it's activities. Free if you are an RSPB member. Really recommend going.

This feels like a special place. The habitat has been well preserved and it's nice to sit by still flowing clear water and listen to the wind blowing through the reeds. We never see many birds here - there's not a huge flock wading in a lake. They are in the rushes and you can hear them in the trees - lovely to hear the turtle doves purring all over the place. It's a peaceful and relaxing walk.
