A lovely walk around the reservoir. Even in lockdown, the cafe is open for take away teas, coffees and snacks. The chocolate brownie was a particular high point. The walk is great for small children on bikes but if I were a serious runner or cyclist, I would feel as if there were too many people around. Severn Trent also charge 5 for parking if you stay longer than 2 hours. 3 If you stay for less. Enjoy.

Wonderful day trout fishing, the weather changed during the day but was still very enjoyable. The boats were clean and tidy, the engine ran and started faultlessly all day. The staff maintained social distancing at all times whilst remaining friendly and informative, fully recommend.

Walked up to the three blokes chatting away in the shop and asked is it just rainbow trout in the Reservoir... they looked at me like I was an alien and when I asked if they sold hooks (due to the fullingmill sign in the window I figured they’d have some size 20s) they said no it’s fly fishing it’s just flys here, you know flys? one of the guys picked up a box to show me and I told him don’t worry I make my own.. i just walked away. it was clear to see that they already had their minds made up , it’s annoying because I shouldn’t have to be a old white bloke to be spoken to without the assumption I don’t know anything about fly fishing. I’d like to go back at some point after lockdown to fish there hopefully my experience will be better and something to post on my Instagram. Kind regards Instagram Amie.1800

Today it was cold, with not many people out. Came other week, packed. Must say that young mothers, children and their friends are possibly the highest percentage of visitors. The water with the professional service from Severn Trent, the boat club with fishermen help with the regular us keep.
