Dreadful service from what has always been a reputable jewellers in town . Purchased earrings end of October and they broke before Christmas . Took them in to be mended and a not on the door said back in 5 minutes . I waited nearly 20 minutes and then someone came from the back of the shop with a large very excitable dog . I have the earring to her and she said they should be done free of charge . I said I would hope so As they were only 2 months old . I didn’t hear anything so my husband went in to see what was happening only to be told that they were waiting for me to accept a quote !!! No contact about that at all !!! I returned to pick up the earrings today and was told I had to pay 7 repair fee ( this was at cost apparently ) I said I wasn’t prepared to pay that and I would have my money back . I was told couldn’t do that as earrings were second hand !! Nothing in the receipt showed this at all .not at all with this service and less happy paying 7. I have spent thousands in this shop over the years but they have lost my custom for ever over a measly amount . I have had better service in warren James !!!!

DO NOT USE To say I am unhappy is an understatement. My grandma bought me a 21st birthday present from the Jeweller a tie clip, which after a lot of discussion both before and after we said we wanted the back engraving. When we picked it up, after a VERY expensive engraving they had engraved the front.... which they then said is common for a personal message. We had asked for the back to be done, and when she took it in for the engraving it was made both expressly and implied that the back was to be engraved. Then to make things worse they have had the clip for over a month now, and I haven’t heard from them. When we call, they simply say they will call back which they do not. Horrendous customer service and just workmanship, I would love to know who had a personal message engraved on the front of a tie clip. I just cannot fathom the engraving and I am so angry and upset about this, as my 21st birthday present from my grandma has been ruined.

There will always be times when things don't go to plan and I think it's a lot more telling about how a business handles these times, than the easy ones when there are no issues. I'm pleased to say that in my case, they handled it well. They were professional and open to listening and discussing the matter and how to reach a resolution, for which I think they deserve a good review.
