Absolutely loved this place! Absolutely brilliant Indian food & Indian "Continental" fusion food. The Paneer dishes were delicious. In particular - their Paneer tikka (and Paneer tikka Main course). We also had a Paneer burger - this was brilliant. Like desi McDonalds Spicy McPaneer - but better! For dessert, gulab jamun sundae - was different, but lovely. In addition, good selection of cocktails & beers on tap! RECOMMEND.

Excellent Food and outstanding customer service by Julie the manager and the rest of staff. Highly recommended as this has fusion of Western and Indian together. In addition, great atmosphere. Always prompt service with great smile.
Wasn’t going to write about it before, giving them the benefit of the doubt. However now that I’ve seen other reviews, this doesn’t seem to be a one off! I ordered chips and as I’m veg, I called them to ensure they fry the chips separately to the meat, they confirmed they did. Came home and started eating, to discover a piece of chicken that seemed that it was fried with my chips!!!! If you’re vegetarian or vegan, I’d strongly recommend that you don’t go here, or if you do then triple check your food before each bite.
Beautiful decoration lovely atmosphere very friendly service and most importantly exceptional food and cocktails. The perfect venue for groups and families- they were very accommodating to our three children. Look forward to returning for a ladies night out next time!
Lovely vibe on weekends. I had my birthday here with Indian Street Food. Great social place for fun and food with dim light settings. Alot of vegetarian options on the menu.
I visited Masala and coal today and was very happy with the whole experience. The social distancing measures made us feel very safe, it is a large restaurant and all the tables were well placed apart from one an other. With the new measures in place we had to be out by ten but all the staff were extremely friendly and respectful. Will definitely be visiting again soon and be recommending to all.
I was really impressed by Masala and Coal. Great food and amazing service. Our waitress was particularly attentive towards my one year old son, she brought out crayons and paper to keep him occupied and some fruit also. My favourite dishes were the paneer starter, pani puri and butter chicken, and the desserts were excellent. Great to find a local place with great ambiance and food. Looking forward to my next visit.
Excellent food with Punjabi spices. All staff very friendly and explained menu precisely. Excellent stock of beers and wines recommended by staff exactly what is required with the type of meal. Garden area well set out during these trying times. Excellent experience definitely will be dining again.
