Excellent, great venue for holding functions and very Covid minded
Great place to come and see how the railways used to look. The station is kept immaculate, and looks great. Love looking at the DMU that is being restored, as I used to go to school on one of these. Recently, I see the trustees have brought a Pacer DMU - reportedly the most hated train in the country. Can't wait to try it! The 1940's weekend is a yearly event to look forward to.
The 40s weekend a great day out back to the past for all the family. Lots of stalls vintage costumes cars military 40s vehicles model tanks and of course the trains . There is also a great bar and plenty of food.
In this Museum, when the tourist enter it,is immediately as if by magic, immersed in the distant forties and can see with his great admiration and at the some time with great amazement, circulate on the shelter of this old railway, appearing in time that give life in a completely natural way, on a typical day on the railway, passengers waiting for a steaming train convoy that slowly slides on a track that leads to an ancient country of the past.... (at this point it's just pure fantasy on my part). All this I can say that the visitor of this Museum creates at certain emotion, seeing these characters from the past, waiting, on the shorter, for their imaginary convoy that will take them to their respective countries of origin; there is no shortage of stalls with clothing and objects every day of the time (too lay called vintage items ); you can admire machines and military vehicles of the time gone be. At this point in the review , I can't help but go to visit this wonderful Museum ..... it is really worth spending some time with the family.
