The Shire Hut - Wife enjoyed it, I thought it was a bit too cramped with two labradors in tow (dog beds take up a huge chunk of floor space when it's 'cosy' to begin with). There's no storage for clothes (so if you bring a case you can slide it under the bed or lose more floor space), one double bed, one 'glider' rocking chair, a folding table that you can't really put away because there's not really any usable work surface to put out food (dog or human). If you have a damp coat or clothing there's a good chance you won't be getting them dry any time soon. If you view the attached photo, there's only about 1.5m between the two dog beds to give you a better idea of scale. Very nicely presented on arrival with towels and bedding all included for your stay, and a free pack of biscuits. This hut has a wet room shower and toilet, that reminds you just how much more effective old fashioned toilets are, but the extractor fan didn't seem to be working, and the sliding door was a bit 'sticky' when trying to move it (apologies to wife !). There's a ramp outside to make wheelchair access easier, with two chairs and a chiminea. Parking may be tight if you're in an estate car, as you risk blocking the narrow access road to the other three huts. This is the only hut where you don't have a gate behind your vehicle to enclose your own space for dogs, however there is a gated area just across the road, and an unenclosed area immediately opposite your door.
