Love this place, plenty of car parking and a steep walk to the harbour where there are a number of local craft and tack shops also a really good take away for sandwiches and cakes. Walked along the front are nice but don't get caught out by either the tide or the falling rocks.

Love this beach. Easy parking on the top of the cliffs and pretty walk down to the beach through thr quaint little town. Worth going well before the low time to inspect full of life rockpools

There's a reason Runswick Bay beach has been voted one of the best in the UK. It is quiet, clean and unspoilt. It really is a little gem. The houses are quaint and nestled together with winding pathways and steps. What really is striking about this place is that it is lacking the unsightly tack of most Uk beach fronts. There are no takeaways, amusements, or trinket/gift shops... it is just a beach in all its natural beauty.

A gorgeous little coastal village, built round a stream valley coming off the North York Moors and a small harbour. Used to be a fishing port but makes most money from tourism now, there are lots of holiday cottages. You can drive down into the village if staying at one of the hotels or cottages, though there is very limited parking. Day visitors use the public car park at the edge of the village and walk 1/4 mile down a steep hill to reach the centre. Great out of season, horribly busy in the summer.

Nice place, very busy and, when out of the sun, very cold. Need to go back when everything is fully open.

Pretty little village on the east coast. Expect a steep climb!
