Fantastic seven days a week service for mobility emergencies. The motor in my power chair failed this week. Other island based wheelchair services refused to help me because I didn’t buy my chair from them. Wight Phoenix supplied me with a suitable replacement power chair for the week and fixed the new motor to my power chair. Everything was delivered to and collected from my front door in a Covid-safe manner and the service was friendly and efficient. I recommend Wight Phoenix to residents and visitors to the island.

Made an online booking from this company about 2 weeks before the arrival date. Even paid the 50 deposit in advance. Received an automated email to confirm the booking and somebody will be in touch soon. 2-3 days passed and nobody had been in touch so we rang the number on the website. The call was answered by a person who I believe to be the owner. Cut a long story short he had no recollection of the booking and he agreed to return my call when he was at his computer. A few days later he had never returned my call so I rang again and there was no answer. When we arrived at the hotel I went to the shop in Sandown and it was closed. We called the number again and there was no answer. The following day the scooter was supposed to have been delivered to the hotel, it never arrived. We rang again and still no answer. We went to the shop again and it was closed. We made multiple calls to the number on the website and eventually on the 3rd day it was answered. We was informed by the lady who answered the call that it was her father-in-laws business and he was out of the country. She was very apologetic and had no knowledge of our booking and was unable to refund our deposit. We was informed the owner would return our call when he is back in the country. We decided to file a claim through paypal for the return of the 50 deposit. We received confirmation from PayPal about a week later to confirm the 50 had been refunded. No apology or explanation from the owner as to why they failed to honour the booking made almost 3 weeks in advance of the trip. Personally I would avoid using the services of this company or do so at “your own risk”.
Avoid this man , I booked and payed for a scooter hire, months ago. Was taken ill with sepsis, contacted peter to ask him to refund my money,this was way before I was due to take my holiday. 3 emails 3 phone calls later!!!!!!!! No response and no money, lucky for me I paid by credit card so hopefully will get reimbursed. DONT USE THIS COMPANY,I WISH I HAD READ HIS REVIEWS.
