Delicious homemade pie, burger and steak enjoyed tonight, made even better with half off for \Eat out to help out.\ Gravy was a little disappointing, thin and mildly burnt. Pizza was very much enjoyed by my son, but I felt the sauce was lacking and tasted \mostly\ of tomato puree. Service good and friendly, do prefer when all staff respond to thanks or comments with \You are welcome\ more than \That's OK.\ Tiny comment, as service was polite, friendly and efficient.

What a super place, food was beautiful but what also really shined through was their customer care. We asked via booking online to make it special for my mother inlaws 83rd birthday and they brought flowers, got her a birthday card and put a little chalk board on the table saying happy birthday. The young lady serving us was super and really looked after us. Well done to The Duncombe Arms and team

The first vist was great, take away seafood risotto. Very tasty, good portion. The second visit I ordered the same dish for takeaway and when I got home I realised there was half the amount compared to last time. I was very disappointed for the price I paid, and I was still hungry afterwards. Not only was there half the amount of rice, but also half the seafood. The first time there was three muscles and five other shells, the second time only one muscle and three other shells. First time plenty of pieces of haddock, second time I couldn't find any. Maybe it was cut smaller. It was still tasty, they definitely can cook well, but it has definitely put me off going third time. Disappointed, because of how expensive it was, it was going to be a regular once in awhile tasty treat, but the next time we fancy treating ourselves why would we chance having the same disappointment? \u200d️

We visited for the first time since they opened after 'lock down'. There were clear instructions about a one way system and using their 'App' to purchase food and drink which we found easy to navigate. The weather was good on our visit so the garden was full and the place was quite busy so we ate in the pub itself. Times are not normal and if you go here (like most other places) with that in mind and are flexible to forgive a few minor changes you will not be disappointed. The staff were light on the ground with only four servers however, despite this, from what we saw, they managed extremely well and were cheerful with it. The lady behind the bar (don't know name) who appeared to be a supervisor/manager was very good. She was providing excellent leadership whilst 'hands on' serving and greeting customers, giving calm instructions and even training to the other staff.
