Wykeham lakes fishery is a great place to go fishing. It comprises of three lakes: A Course fishing, Trout and Predator lake. Situated just off the A170 from Scarborough heading towards Pickering, it is very easy to find and easily accessible. The fishing is excellent and the lakes are well stocked. The Trout lake is fly fishing only but the Predator lake can be fished with Fly, live or dead bait, corn plugs, spinners and Pike rigs. There are some good fish in all three lakes including some large specimen fish. On my first trip I was impressed with the beauty of the place. It is very well laid out and there are plenty of pegs around the lakes from which to fish, or you can go out in a boat. Day one I landed a 7.5lb Pike and it was in beautiful condition. My next trip I managed to get an 8lb Rainbow Trout which went on my dinner plate the next day! The prices are very reasonable and a day or month pass is on offer. The staff are very friendly and helpful and have a good knowledge of the type of fish in the lakes and even the best places to fish, so it is worth having a chat. All in all: a great day out fishing and well worth a visit

We stayed at the CL there and, will definitely be returning. Large flat pitches, some grass some gravel standing. A lovely woodland walk that takes you up to the water park and fishing lakes. 14 a night on CL with your own water tap on pitch is totally worth it. Can't wait to return

It is a hard to fish from the platforms. As fosh are oit of the matgins at the moment. So it needs a boat please do as this improved my catch rate. 9 good fish around the 3lb mark plus a small jack pike. All healthy hard fighting chaps.
