This was a fantastic day out. The boat was able to social distance and masks were a must. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw amazing birds and the seals even gave us a wave. Highly recommended for families.
Took the Grey Seal tour. It was excellent. Saw hundreds of seals including some very young pups. The crew were very knowledgeable about the wildlife on the Farne Islands. We also saw lots of sea birds including juvenile puffins. The tour also told us of much of the history of the islands.
Would absolutely recommend one of these boat tours, we took a trip on the glad tidings III and found the crew to be polite and the information they gave about the islands to be very interesting. It was a shame that, due to the strange times, we couldn't land on any of the islands and have a look around but this could not be helped and I found the tour to be well worth experiencing anyways.
We were lucky to have really nice weather. Member of staff were really nice. Would definitely come back again. Just remember if you get travel sick quickly you will on the boat.
