I opened an account with these after researching the company as I hadn’t heard of them so was a bit dubious but am always looking for an account with high interest rates. This offered a good rate on a 90 day account but having not been with the bank before I built up the account/trust over several months, testing the bank to make sure I was happy and confident with everything. I have also rang them on a couple of occasions and have to say to date have been very happy and impressed. I would have given 5 stars as I was just about to move a larger sum from another account having been very satisfied to date with this bank so was going to make it my primary bank account but unfortunately they have just sent a letter to say the interest rate will drop (quite significantly) in June so looks like I’m on the move again..so disappointed as would have liked to have stayed with them for all the other reasons I have mentioned, but money is money and you have to make it work for you.

I found putting money into a two year bond account very easy, but trying to get my money out after the bond matured, was extremely difficult. I had to make several phone calls over a two week period to finally get clearance. They then claimed I had been sent an email (not received) which I had ignored, so whole authority process had to start from scratch. Not impressed.

I was a little wary as the name was new to me but moving my savings into Secure Trust was a good move. I have been with Royal Bank of Scotland for decades but they reward savers with an insulting 0.2%. An easy, smooth move to Secure Trust and I now get SEVEN TIMES as much interest.
