If anyone ever asks me where to go for a nice meal in the Borders, The Fleece Bar & Kitchen is always the first place I recommend. The food is always expertly prepared and the front of house staff are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and pairing suggestions, as well as very welcoming. The menu, which changes regularly, always makes great use of local, seasonal produce. Some of my favourite nights the past few years have been spent at their Taster Evenings which really highlight the skill and passion that goes into preparing their dishes. The awards and nominations Tracey, Trevor and the team have received down the years are well earned and Selkirk is a better place for them being here.

Really really good dinner my wife ,kids and myself just had at the Fleece. Selkirk is so lucky to have a place where you can eat out thats so welcoming and with amazing food. I am not joking when i say that the sirloin steak is as good as you will get anywhere in the borders. If you haven't visited the Fleece i highly recommend it. Everytime i have eaten here its been top class with a really friendly atmosphere. Its a family run business that truly deserves support because the efforts they have put in to get it to the standard that its at. Will definitely be back. 10 out of 10 and well done to all involved. Keep up the good work.

Fab meal, made very welcome, even though some confusion with our booking \covid times\ and all that. We were offered both lunch and evening menus. Hubby very happy with the Lamb, the boy loved all of his including \the best brownie he's ever had\ and mine was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Even our doggy was made to feel welcome with a bowl of water and some biccies. Thanks for the lovely evening.

We live just outside London and were heading for Edinburgh for a long weekend. we decided to spend a night in Selkirk as it has many childhood memories as it is where my Grandparent lived. We did not book, but this was Nov'19, pre-Covid. Made to feel very welcome, the food was great, service spot on, and a good wine selection to boot. Would use again if in Selkirk for a night and highly recommend.

Went on the recommendation of family friends and were so happy we went. The staff were very pleasant and kindly accommodated a slightly fussy eater in our group allowing them to select a dish from the lunch menu. Both my father and I had the Borders lamb and were blown away. A nice local beer (Tempest - Tweedbank) on tap too. A great asset to Selkirk and the Borders in general.
