I went swimming a couple of times since the reopening, and I'm impressed with the procedures for safe social distancing. Very good system in the water and around the pool. The staff is friendly and happy to explain the way things work.

Seven island leisure centre has a swimming pool and gym it has been renovated and actually is quite nice the pool depth reaches 3.8m at its deepest the gym also is amazing. It is part of everyone active I would recommend checking it out when lockdown eases

Staff at reception don't like to answer the phone. Not particularly clean, or modern (although it is supposed to have been refurbished not too long ago, alas tiles and paint is already falling off walls); but you get what you pay for (it's a fiver, walk-in, to use the pool), although it is a subsidised business model... so not really sure.

The shower area smells of urine ,it was so strong I smelt it while I was swimming. The showers are terrible ,you have to keep pressing the button on the shower as the water stops. There are dead flies on the wall while your showering. It’s very run down. The gym equipment is old ,and broken. Toilets in the swimming area are very dirty, but clean upstairs where the gym is.

Honestly, the only good thing about the gym was the amount or space they had. They have now come back and say you can't even use the studio unsupervised (even though the weight room is unsupervised). Weights and equipment is out of date and PTs are mostly overweight and don't look like they have a clue!

I've been on very few occasions, but it's an average gym. The equipment is old, but it does what it's supposed to. There is a sauna, so that's a plus. The pool is nice and spacious, but I have to agree with most reviews that the wet changing rooms are too small and smelly. The gym changing rooms, are equally small, but not as smelly and there seems to be locker space available, unlike the wet side.

Changing room is really small. Not even enough lockers. Water is not really hot in the showers too. Only 2 showers working out of 3. I always go in the day time when it’s quiet. But you will spend more time in the changing rooms just waiting to get access to your locker. also time needed standing around to waiting for the shower.
