I have visited the Shurland frequently over the years and have seen it change hands a few times too. I have say a big well done to the new management team. What a transformation they have made to the old place. So much brighter, smarter, more up market. The food is wonderful and nicely served too. 110 out of a 100

We went during Storm Ciara for lunch. They were very accommodating towards us as we were the only people there and the chef was due to go home. Sunday roast was generous and the waiter did a great job improvising the desert after the chef had left.
No social distancing rules followed at all
Excellent Sunday dinner, well cooked. Great service. Highly recommended
