First time been to this restaurant Chez Lahlou's. We ordered a starter and a main course and we had free chicken wings and garlic breads before the starter and main course. We really enjoyed the meals. The main course was absolutely big portion. Excellent value for every meal we've had. Lovely atmosphere, Cosy and romantic. Definitely going back and will recommend to someone.

Reasonably priced delicious food with huge portions. After ordering our food we were given complimentary chicken wings, the meat of which fell straight off the bone and was bathing in a sauce of extreme tastyness. We were also given complimentary cheesy garlic bread which, you know, it's garlic bread with cheese on. So. Pretty good. My friend had the filled en croute which was the most tender, succulent well prepared piece of meat I've ever had the pleasure of putting inside my mouth hole and letting it melt upon my tongue and it's many tastebuds. I had the Joullione de boeuf with a sauce so creamy and decadent it blew my socks off. In addition to this, we were supplied with a mountain of steamed veg, and a pile of thinly cut potatoes with a crispy golden exterior and a smooth fluffy interior. All in all an excellent meal and one which we tipped for generously as it was well deserved.

A very nice place, overall very good, homemade food, portions are large (in some cases massive) and there is a good deal of complimentary dishes coming with any order of starters or mains (chicken wings, garlic bread, vegetables platter and potato wedges). One needs to be very hungry to manage to finish everything, but the owners are more than happy to pack the leftovers (quite common as it seems). For reference, we got beef wellington, salmon with tomato/garlic sauce, sirloin steak with wine/cream/mushroom sauce and onion soup. Service and value for money are great.. I give 4/5 stars because it is not a \true\ french experience.
