I have been a client of Conrad's for nearly four years now and have always had excellent service, but am delighted with how they have adapted to provide a safe experience in light of the coronavirus. Clients are greeted outside and temperature taken and hand gel used before sitting at your own designated station - sanitised after every customer - all staff wear masks and visors, and the stations are socially distanced. I felt so safe and welcome and the service I received was as perfect as ever. So happy!

First, I requested a private room because I wear a Hijab which they did but then had to go out to get my hair washed where there were men. Second, I went a month in advance to get a “consultation” because I have never bleached my hair before and she saw my hair and saw what I wanted and gave me a quote of 80. Ended up paying 142! Third, the final hair color looked nice but not what I asked for. But the staff was very friendly & the place is clean.

Had my hair coloured and my fringe cut here on 23rd December. Pro’s: - The staff are really friendly and hospitable. - The salon has a great environment and they are bang on following covid guidelines. - My hairdresser was lovely, he picked out a really nice colour for my hair. - The fringe cut was amazing and technically on point - I love it! Cons: - Massive issues getting an appointment. Salon had to reschedule my appointment multiple times due to errors booking me in (they were hugely apologetic) - I was left in the hand of trainees most of the time without much supervision. This led to my hairdresser identifying my bleach hadn’t been washed out properly after my colour had been applied. This led to me needing to have my hair rewashed and re coloured, extending the appointment by about 45 mins. - Due to the bleach being left on, I’ve now developed a chemical burn to the back of my head - The end result of my colour was really uneven. Great at the top and a lovely copper pink colour, but the bottom third of my hair is brown. I was told by my hairdresser this was due to my hair being porous? I’ve seen had another two salons look at my hair and they’ve both said independently that the colour wasn’t left on for long enough and not enough colour was put on. My hairdresser offered to fix my hair the next day, but having spent 4 hours in the salon already and the next day being Christmas Eve, I told them I’d fix it myself. I think due to the issues with booking my appointment in, I was squeezed in when the hairdresser didn’t have much time. I appreciate them fitting me in. However it’s ultimately resulted in me spending 142 for a chemical burn and uneven colour. It’s such a shame, because I think in different circumstances this wouldn’t have happened.
