Everyone needs to avoid this agency. I have bode my time in writing this as I didn't know what to say and assumes it may have been a one off. It wasn't. Last year I rented with igloo, the issues got so bad we had to threaten them with reporting them to the council to get them to fix anything, including damp that got so severe I personally had to move out for two weeks because I got so sick. After all the testing in the flat it turned out there was a dehumidifier that they installed backwards so was never on, they tried to blame us for their incompetence. This lost time at uni and also money from work. When we moved in the flat was a state, we found baggies on the floor, the oven was dirty and stains on the bedroom wall to name a few. Furniture and the flooring was broken in some way and covered in dog hair. The bay window started leaking and when they finally turned up they found cigarette butts on it. The landlord blamed us and tried to shout at us without thinking that we had an upstairs neighbor who we had reported for throwing them out. We did get our deposit back but only through multiple threats and support from the tenants union which I suggest everyone joins.

To echo many others, AVOID IGLOO. Igloo are slow, incompetent, callous and lie constantly about the state of their property. Our problems were endless, but here's a few. -Front door was the wrong size for the frame, and had to be rehung every two months -Terrible damp, caused by them not turning on a integral dehumidifier that they neglected to tell us existed. Once we were told about it, it was wired in backwards and the wall switch had to be off to turn it on -Claimed the flat had a deep clean, first thing I found when I moved in was a baggie with some weed left in it -Claimed the flat was redecorated, but had painted over exposed nails -Only investigated the damp when we threatened legal action against them -Matress was destroyed when we got there. -Ground floor flat managed to have a leaky roof (go figure) -Overpriced -You had to email three people five times to get any help at all - When we turned the dehumidifier back on, every Wooden item (including the floor) warped. The thing had obviously been off for years. -Returned our deposits in full only once we'd joined a tenants union, and let them know about that. I don't know if Igloo is incompetent or callous, but why they're awful doesn't matter if you are unfortunate enough to live in their houses. Avoid at all costs.
