Atmosphere, food and drink fantastic. Went for a family Sunday lunch and can't fault it. Will definitely be returning.pet friendly so could even take our pooch.

As an ad hoc visit, the landlord fitted us in despite full reservations. The staff and manager were the best I've come across in some time. The food and service were both really lovely. No complaints about our visit whatsoever. As my mum is in a wheelchair they helped us with doors and I would thoroughly recommend The Shepherd's Rest. We will definitely be going again.
Great views if you have the right table.Great service and tasty food. The rag pudding is nice with fresh made chips mushy peas and gravy. The beef salad is fresh and colourful. The deserts perfect if you have room.
Home from home and this was my first visit. Very rural. I would definitely plan a day out to visit this well established, exquisitely ran bistro. Staff were impeccable. Great modern decor. Guidance measures in place made me feel better and strangely not as a scary reminder where we are right now. I would highly recommend.
Lovely country pub. Nice big beer garden with a great view. Great on sunny days. Good spacious restaurant serving delicious food. The bar area allows dogs and has a open fire which makes it cosy on winter evenings.
