Very tasty food delivered by very good front of house staff. Chicken and pork taken from the fixed price lunch menu. Smaller portions than dinner but packed with flavour.

The French onion soup was beautiful! It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper onion soup! The salad was good and our mains (not pictured, sorry) were pretty good as well. The service was very nice; the only problem was the restroom, which is why I’ve taken away a star. One of the toilets was gross, I don’t really want to get into it but you can imagine a number 2 mess. Other than that, the place is well located and the food is good, service is great and prices are okay.
Two of the Three in our party had completely inedible food, mine tasting like pool water. Our waiter was brash and would walk off mid sentence. The manager/supervisor on shift was absolutely fantastic and handled our grievances perfectly. Pity as our previous meal and experience there had been superb.
I was going to give this 3 stars purely for the fact they don't accept cash, of which I was notified after I had put the cash in the tray. That aside, we had a lovely hour or so, sat outside in the afternoon sun. The food was great and the staff very pleasant. I doubt I'll ever go back, just because if the cash thing but that's just me. In fact, we arrived in Chester and I immediately struck Côte off the list. See my other (upcoming) reviews of where we have eaten.
Fabulous food, very reasonably priced lunch menu. Accommodating and warm family restaurant. Will definitely be back
