A really unique place to wonder around. A great place for kids to have a play. Plus it's right next to solve great walks. Dogs need to be on leads but you can go on a wait nearby after our before.

Beautiful location with excellent views across to Shrewsbury & beyond. Amazing ruins. Well worth a visit.
Needed to kill some time near Shrewsbury during a cold lock down day. So nowhere to go and nothing to do. Luckily I found this big chunk of history. I will go back when it's a bit warmer.
Good for a short visit. Atmospheric place and with some informative boards to explain the history. Don't go there expecting an hours-long immersive experience though!
I highly recommend it. My favourite free ruin I've been to (even though it is not located on a hill so limited views) and I think the biggest and most intact. Free parking. Decent ruins left to walk around.
