Dave’s set up a few guitars for me now. I have always been very happy with what he’s done and can certainly notice the difference. He’s a really nice chap as well. I thoroughly recommend D W Guitars.

Probably the best in the business, have never hesitated to take guitars to be set up or repered to Dave, highly recommend.
Had a guitar. Few years . to get him to Set up for me. Had it over 3 weeks. Paid 45 pounds for setup and new strings . got it home. Was the same when i took it in . and to top it off. still had the old gold strings on it .. As i can tell as the mark where the frets . Was. . so upset.
Had a few jobs done here. Very high quality work. Fast service. Lovely guy. Always available. This is my go to guitar guy for everything.
I’ve used Dave’s services a few times now, setups, etc. I was recommended to go to Dave by a pro guitarist as I once paid 25 to have a guitar setup by someone advertising themselves as a fully trained tech and got back a violin and paid for the privilege.... Dave is a Luthier. He’s not a guitar tech. He’s actually a bonifide genius... I took a strat down to him Saturday that was in a bad shape setup wise, and Dave kindly made my 700 odd quid MIM strat feel and play like a custom shop. It is honestly, that good. And that was a basic setup.... I trust Dave with my most valued possessions, I’ve pointed others at Dave who have come away absolutely ecstatic with his work, and his pricing is really really reasonable for the standard of work he does. Basically, if you’ve spent a fortune on a guitar and now you want it to feel like you have spent a fortune on it, take it here, you will not be disappointed. Also, Dave is pretty lo-tech in his approach to communications (landline only - I suspect he may be part cherokee) but if you don’t get through leave a message and he’ll get back to you once he’s back from nipping out for his coffee break bless his cottons. In fact this was the case when I got there Saturday morning and decided to have a wander down the road to get a coffee myself, saw Dave on the way and just gave him my car keys and said “strats in the back, catch you in a bit” and off I went completely safe in the knowledge that my keys, my car, and my guitar was completely safe. Ehm.. what else... Did I mention he’s got a cracking tan? Do it, you won’t go anywhere else after
