Firth of Forth Ferry South Lighthouse

Unlike the North Ferry Lighthouse the South Ferry Lighthouse is stuck between two buildings and appears somewhat forgotten and neglected. It can be entered but there is no light mechanism in the lantern room and no view as there is a building in the way on the north side. The tower is stippled and with decorative arches in the stone tower. The lantern room is metal framed with glass all around. Presumably it , like the north light, had a parabolic mirror with a wick and oil lantern. You can see the tower support and approach bridge of the Firth of Forth Railroad Bridge behind in this image which gives somewhat of a small idea of how gigantic that bridge is.
