Fantastic service! My Rickenbacker 330 was suffering from poor intonation, wouldn't stay in tune for long and the action was too high. After being set up it plays like a dream! The neck is near straight, the action is nice and low and the tuning issues have gone. He even gave it a good clean and polish all over. Couldn't ask for more really.

This dude just keeps surpassing expectations. My first run of service was when I asked Glenn to do a setup of my Jackson, and that was a real transformation of that guitar that even PMT commented how great the setup was. (Unfortunately had to trade that guitar, for a more expensive LTD Deluxe multiscale-6). The pandemic does take a lot of hassle, I placed this Ibanez guitar for a setup around August, and just got it back October 8, but saying "worth the wait" would be an understatement. My Ibanez just became a whole different beast, all the frets feel right, no fret buzz, I got my LTD Deluxe alongside to compare, and what I could say is: my LTD needs his service to compare with what my Ibanez had become! Currently, I placed my Schecter 7-string guitar to Glenn, and I just told him to take his time, since knowing that he is trustworthy, and the guitar transforms after he does his magic. You can't rush perfection! Totally would recommend South Shields Guitar Setups, I'm from Newcastle, and wouldn't hesitate going all the way to South Shields if it means taking my guitars for a setup!

Can't rate this lad highly enough. Had some wiring problems on my p bass, fixed within a two day turnaround. Certainly knows his trade. Getting some fretwork done very shortly. Give this lad a go,you will not be disappointed.
Dropped my girlfriend's acoustic off and can't believe it's the same one we got back. Feels brand new, plays and sounds better than ever before. Really friendly guy and so helpful too, explained everything and went the extra mile
My guitar action was very high, it was almost impossible to practice without applying too much pressure to the strings. Thanks to Glenn's work the action is now low enough for me to practice with alot less effort and more enthusiasm. Very quick service, had my guitar back within 24 hours and sounding beautiful. Would recommend to all!
