As a first time TIG welder, I headed into this shop for supplies and a little advice on what I needed. What I go was SO much more. These guys are fantastic. The depth of advice given was immense and never condescending. If you're looking for welding supplies AND brilliant customer service, you should go here. Highly recommended.

Very helpful and great prices
A welcome change from the dark and dusty traditional welding supplies experienced to date. The shop is packed with up to date equipment and they can hire out equipment if you are looking to try out a new welding technique prior to upgrading or simply need a piece of kit for a big job. They found some neck liners for my lowly (and ancient) SnapMIG 130 in their NOS (new old stock) so got my job finished on time. I worked in photographic retail for 20 years and would have been please to get the service experienced had I been doing it myself. Once my wallet recovers from my latest project, I'll be back to eye up the higher powered and lighter 21st century MIG I saw was giving me the eye when I was in.... FatBlokeRacing five stars! UPDATE: After the SnapMIG bit the dust I bought a GYS EasyMig (with ARC option) from RHDS after two days of hiring one (great way to try out an upgrade: I gave it intensive use perfect wire feed and beautiful welding, no cutouts)..... [don't forget to take in a treat for Rufus the Hound] Update #2 April 2020 I've been using my lovely yellow welder now for 2 X 20 litre bottles worth of 5%..... My regulator (from eBay 5 years ago) is being less than reliable so thought I'd try some QUALITY gasless wire from Davey's.. What a difference proper gasless wire makes... Not front of house beauty but so easy for the relative novice like myself. Thanks for the advice to try some more decent wire that what I had in the pits..,... What's next..... A TIG setup for my birthday? \Learn Nuclear pressure vessel welding in a week\ is that a book? Thumbs up from Len Fairclough!
