Southend, has really been spruced up, it has a "buzzing" feel about it.. Although looking like a "ghost town", due to lockdown, when I visited, you could see the pubs were all having a clean and tidy up, new paint etc.. I love Southend now.. Its a better, more lively " place to go"

Great beach, partly sandy partly stones... longest pier in the world... fun golf & many other entertainments... great food especially fish and chips. Highly recommended for a visit!
Lots to do for families including arcades and fairground rides and plenty of places to get snacks. Loads of toilets as well. The beach is OK but walking along the seafront to Leigh on sea is lovely
Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking(which was quite expensive 4.50 for two hours). Many takeaways open and some resturants with outside seating. Toilets open, free of charge and being regularly cleaned. Nice couple of hours walk in the fresh air
the perfect beach .5/5 no better than any other one that ive visited in the uk . it has got plenty of car parks , proper police maintaining the car parks , its gotta never ending cost line and the sea seams to be quite calm , loads of fish and chips shops ,lots of anmusment centeres ,a yummy debenhams cafe brekfast, an odeon and even a monte carlo!!! there is a train that goes along the coast too and quick to get from and to london via stations leigh on sea ,westcliff, southend on sea, southend east , thorpe bay and the end of the line shorbeyness . staff are very informative. toilets very covid safe managed that well. good tourist attractions and botanical gardens . its near tghe m11 and gridserve which is good . there is c2c train that goes to barking which your allowed to change for district, hammersmith and city and london overground and has 2 airports southend and stanstesd . peir is good for ambitious walkers its 1 mile long and has a train to get you back because people feel exhaustation comming from their bodies i bet a great pier to walk along
Wonderful place to have a relaxing time.
Really lovely beach. The tide goes out and you can walk out to the sea for ages. Just ensure you have appropriate foot wear like crocs so you dont cut your feet. Beach is also pebbles.
Great place for a quiet stroll. Views across to Kent. Enough parking. If you cannot find parking then the place is probably too busy to be enjoyable. Find somewhere else.
