I have heard about the previous reputation of this place! But I was presently surprised when I went for a swim with my grandchild the other day. A member of staff named Sam assisted me in explaining the way the ‘new system’ worked and was extremely polite! Will be returning back to your delightful establishment

Nice place. We attended the Model train exhibition.

I can only endorse what others have said bout the shoddy "don't care" attitude not just to customers but to the overall cleanliness and level of maintenance of the building. Very poor indeed. To be fair some staff members do try but I suspect quickly realise that they are fighting a lost cause...Don't bother trying to phone them either. Life is too short to waste.

No information about opening on swimming pool.website poorly maintained. No phone info about covid. Total lack of interest by the council on info. It's a great facility but unfortunately it's run by headless chickens and Southend not do a lot council which are more interested in car parks that charge loads of money

Have always found them to be a colossal pain to deal with, to the point where I don't anymore. Suspect Fusion, which seems to run this and every other public pool within 10 miles of Southend, presumably so the council don't have to, is one of those Frankenstein's monsters of public money and quasi-private enterprise that gets dreamed up and electrocuted into resentful existence from time to time. Swimming lessons particularly rage-inducing as they make it difficult to cancel the obligatory monthly direct debit when 1) your kids are are away over the various school holidays or 2) you otherwise realise it's a waste of money. Ploys include but are not limited to trying to count your calendar month of cancellation notice from when they eventually, weeks later, get around to acknowledging your cancellation email, rather than when you actually sent it. Swimming in the estuary is free and the brackish water stings less than the ropey customer service.

The worst customer service you can ever receive! Spoke to each member of staff, 2 emails to the Head office - No Reply. They just don't care. 6 months of paying the membership while they were doing the refurbishment - no access to the gym, no Health suite, no sauna, no steam room... We asked for the refund - No Reply... The refurbishment is awful, they have no clue what customers need. That's why me and my friend cancelled the membership and we don't go there anymore, and tell all our friends not to go. The pictures are after their so-called mln refurbishment... Health&Safety ? Don't know where the council was looking.... So disappointing...

Great facities

The only gym to charge its customers to retain their membership in the area, no update to when it's due to reopen. Save your money and go elsewhere.
