A great way to start a trip. Some additional positive changes since the lounge expanded including some nice food and drink choices. At the time of visiting this was all available for only 19.95 payment on arrival, which is a great price for lounge entry and is cheaper than using Priority Pass to invite my guests to join me.

Staff are nice and seem to be quite attentive, but the food isn't great (think: inexpensive Sainsburys brand multipack croissants and muffins). Space is relatively clean and seats are comfy, but some of the cups and saucers looked like they hadn't been washed properly (I had to hunt through a couple to find clean ones). Hot food, apart from some soup, is not served and other food items are mostly restricted to fruit, oat biscuits, 2 cheese selections and some olives. This is the sort of lounge you'd go to for some quiet and comfortable seating and to charge your phone, but not for the food.
The are itself is clean. However quality of food has deteriorated so much so you would be better spending your money at airport restaurant. If you have lounge access as part of package then use it otherwise avoid. In addition if you turn up approx 45mins before closing food offering was biscuits not individually wrapped and fruit that should have been discarded. Also some marshmallows from a jar!!! This used to be a really nice lounge from the 20 I have visited this year this is bottom of the pile
Very nice airport lounge and far exceed my expectation of a lounge at a small airport. The staff were helpful and attentive. There were plenty charging points and comfortable seating. It was a relaxing environment before our flight
For such a small airport this is far better than many lounges from national airlines in major airports. A great selection of snacks, including samosa, sausage rolls and hot dogs, along with some healthy vegetable and hummus. There is ample seating with some great comfy sofas and no shortage of power sockets for keeping your devices charged.
Really gone down hill, used the lounge 2 years ago and was fantastic. However used it again in March 2019 the complementary sandwiches have been replaced with cheap hotdogs, there were also a bowl of crisps a jar of nuts, pancakes, salad, cheese and biscuits, and a few cakes. Drink selection wasn’t bad, had Stella on draught which you serve yourself in half pint glasses, red and white wine and a selection of spirits. You can check into the lounge 3 hours before your flight, but if your checking in luggage then you can’t check in your luggage until 2 hours before your flight and because the lounge the the other side of security you can’t get in until you have checked your luggage in, also they call your flight for boarding around 45 minutes before departure, so realistically by the time you have checked your luggage in and gone through security, you are lucky if you have an hour in the lounge. Disappointed compared to the 1st experience from a few years ago, won’t be booking it again.
Small lounge. Food and drink o.k. I suppose for a small lounge in a small airport. My main gripe is that there isn't a quiet area. When I arrived there was a rowdy group of golfers in the lounge enjoying their beers. They went not too long after I entered. Unfortunately they were followed by another group of golfers equally noisy. I left to join my flight with a headache. There is a recessed section - surely this could have double/triple glazed doors put on it so that you could sit in peace? There was another section round the corner..but this was closed off for some reason. Not a patch on No1 lounges...or even mylounges. Sorry....not impressed at all....SORRY.....This review is for Southend Skyline....posted here in error
Nice lounge comfortable but no cooked breakfast available, does not warrant the 20 price because of this, but till comfortable.
