We've had a sauna for perhaps 15-18 years in the old house, and when we planned our self build, we wanted a modern sauna to be incorporated. Much research undertaken, and at one point we were close to having an install from an Italian manufacturer, but then we came across Finnmark Sauna. Their product and reviews were all good, so we made contact. And surprisingly, they're here in the northeast of England. We made the call and met with Jake and Max. Two of the most enthusiastic and caring contractors and they manage an excellent team. We couldn't be happier with the whole process, from design, through installation and subsequent handover. Highly recommended.

I researched home-build saunas and came across Finnmark Durham through an on-line review. After several calls with Hamish in Durham, Finnmark became my preferred option. I pretty much followed the Finnmark online home build advice with additional guidance from Hamish. It took me approx 12 weeks to complete the build; all my own work with the exception of input from a trusted electrician. Finnmark delivered within the time slots they promised and the materials they supplied were top quality. Lisa–Elen at Durham managed the supply and delivery. We are absolutely delighted with our sauna and I now believe that a sauna a day really does kept the doctor away.

We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Finnmark, from Jake and Max's clear knowledge of Finnish Sauna (correctly pronounced!) to the efficient delivery and build on site. All of this was completely trumped by our first löyly (steam?) which was as sweat and wonderful as we could have hoped. The build is of such construction that I doubt I will be in the market for another sauna within my lifetime, unless I move, but if I was, I'd look no further than Finnmark for my next one! An update - 1 year on and I can say that we are still delighted with our Sauna. We haven't needed much aftercare at all, but Jake has always been quick to respond to any questions we might have. The "löyly" remains wonderful, and our "saunatonttu" (Elves who live in the sauna and are the spiritual guardian) are also very happy. Even our cat enjoys the sauna!
Cannot be more pleased. From start to end the advice and service - including good counsel on where to avoid cost management(!) - was second to none. The on site team were great too - professional, polite and skilled. The final product is second to none - great quality and the experience is so different to hotels/gyms - much, much better. Now planning the plunge pool - until then it’s the ice bucket challenge!

We talked to various sauna companies before choosing Finnmark and I'm so pleased that we did. Every aspect of the project was delivered on time, well communicated and the final result is stunning: top quality components and excellent workmanship. They worked well with our building contractors, arrived early, and delivered to the letter. The post sales experience has been good too. This is not the lowest cost company on the market but you get what you pay for! Thank you Hamish, Max, Jake, John and the whole team at Finnmark.
