I had to have a rigid Cystoscopy and transurethal resection of bladder tumour procedure at the hospital in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. To say I was terrified is an understatement and I had to travel alone in the middle of the night to be ready on the day of my surgery. Everyone I had contact with throughout was kind, professional and sensitive. I received the highest level of care and support and my fear and anxiety was taken seriously, I felt in control of everything that happened through the sharing of information and the patience and compassion of the staff at Spire Tunbridge Wells. I was also impressed with the respect the staff showed each other and it was clear they worked as a professional team. Whilst I hope others don’t have to undergo this treatment I don’t think there is anything anyone could have done to put me more at ease. These professionals are an absolute credit to the medical profession and I am immensely grateful.
