Splott park is getting five stars because of memories, not really helpful for you today, but I spent all my childhood in this park and only had great times, this was 50 to 60 years ago, so no use to anybody but me. Finally, there was Jessie, who I saw arrive in 1965 and which I just found out is now happily restored and remade into Thomas the Tank Engine up at Llangollen!

Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't occasionally riddled with horse dung. Need to be extra watchful of my dog when I go there, as she tends to roll around in it and eat it. Otherwise lovely and open, love you the fencing and the green. Excellent place for a stroll, just beware of horse manure if you want to have a sit down or walk your dog.
The whole 'park' is just 5 or so muddy football fields concrete basketball courts or whatsoever. Thanks for the biodiversity of monoculture grass.
