Woodbury, CT My mother was a client of Spondon Carers for over 10 weeks. Her health had declined but I finished my walk out basement to make it accessible for her to live in my home. Mom was in and out of various nursing homes over the past few years due to different surgeries. We know, for her, there truly was “no place like home.” We had the same care manager for this entire time and she was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, helpful and willing to do all that she could so that mom’s care and my care giving for her were as supported as possible.

Our care manager was extremely competent, compassionate, prompt and concerned about all aspects of our case. She followed-up on every detail and checked up on us to make sure things were going well. She is a fine example of professionalism at its best. Without this truly compassionate service we would have had to consider nursing home care. This would have been awful for her and for our family. It would also have been a very costly option.

It hasn’t been easy for either of us as we go about this new stage in our lives, but his being at home means so much to both of us. I cannot express the huge comfort their help brings in my knowing that they are there whenever they can be while I must be at work. Dad celebrated his 89th birthday in May---in the comfort of his own home---thanks to the daily care of the competent, caring and compassionate folks that you have arranged to help us. We both will always be totally grateful for this to you and Spondon Carers.
The main things that they achieve are continuity of care, they are prompt, and very particular in making sure that they wash their hands regularly so that they don’t pass on infections. Mr P
